E.M.T., Inc. was founded in 1995 by the families of Chris Atkins and Ernest Hatmaker, Jr. At the ages of 21 and 24, both Atkins & Hatmaker had a vision of being a leader in the medical transportation industry. Purchasing a single wheelchair van and doing transports themselves while working full time elsewhere was difficult. That hard work has since paid off and the company continues to grow today. The service currently operates a fleet in Southwest and Central Ohio. The services include ALS/ BLS emergency & non-emergency ambulance service and ambulette service. While the bulk of services are from medical facilities and private residents, E.M.T., Inc. is also contracted as a back-up EMS service with the City of Eaton.
